Create your family, then share the six-character invite code. Everyone downloads FamFam, enters the code and they're in. Organisers can make a new code at any time, and the old one stops working straight away.

Ask an organiser in your family for the six-character invite code. Download FamFam, choose "I have an invite code" and enter it. You'll see your family's lists, meals and calendar straight away.

Whoever creates the family starts as its organiser, and can promote one other member, so a family can have up to two. Organisers look after members and family settings, like the invite code and the dinner reminder time.

Yes. Make as many lists as your plan allows (3 on Free, 50 on Plus) for anything: chores, the hardware run, gift ideas, a camping trip. Each one gets its own icon, and you can pin the ones you use most to the home screen.

Yes. A list can be shared with the whole family, with just the people you choose, or kept private. Nobody else can open a private list, organisers included.

Yes. Open the list's settings and drag the aisles into the order your supermarket uses. FamFam's AI files new items into the right aisle as they're added.

Yes. Organisers can check other members in or out, which helps with younger kids or anyone who forgets. Everyone can also set a usual week, so their regular nights can fill themselves in.

Yes! FamFam's free plan is free forever. You get 3 shared lists of up to 20 items each, 20 calendar events a month, 4 family members, the dinner check-in, 5 AI recipes a month and 10 voice adds a day. It's plenty for a smaller household or anyone wanting to try FamFam properly before upgrading.

Starting the trial from inside the app gives you 14 days of full Plus access for free. It's an App Store or Google Play introductory offer, so it runs through your store account and needs a payment method on file. You won't be charged during the trial, and cancelling any time before day 14 costs you nothing. After that it renews at $2.99/month until you cancel.

Absolutely. You can upgrade from Free to Plus at any time. If you cancel Plus, you'll keep access until your billing period ends, then drop back to the free plan. No data is lost when switching.

If you don't subscribe, your account drops back to the free plan. All your data is kept safe and nothing is deleted. You just won't be able to add anything new beyond the free limits until you upgrade.

No. A family shares one plan, so a single Plus subscription unlocks everything for all 10 members. There's nothing for the rest of your household to buy.

Your lists, meals and plans are only shared with the members of your family. Data is encrypted in transit and we never sell your personal information. Our privacy policy has the details.

In the app, go to Settings, then Danger Zone, and tap Delete Account. Our delete account page explains exactly what is removed and what happens to data you share with your family.

No. Plus is billed through the App Store or Google Play, so cancel it in your store account's subscription settings. Deleting the app or your FamFam account doesn't stop the subscription on its own.
